Covering the roof of our facility with solar panels, commissioned in March 2019, we’ve successfully generated 18,479 KWh of electricity in just three months. This accounts for 30% of our total consumption, even during monsoons. Additionally, our solar water heater with a 3000 liter/day capacity significantly reduces electricity consumption, making us proud contributors to a sustainable energy landscape.

Our commitment to organic farming goes beyond the buzz. Over two decades, we’ve conducted numerous awareness programs, training over 200,000 farmers in adapting organic practices. We provide both financial and educational resources to support their conversion to organic agriculture. Through workshops and hands-on support, we educate farmers on crop rotation, soil enrichment, and bio-dynamic farming methods. Our dedication extends to offering over 10% of the market value for herbs, enriching not only the soil but also the livelihoods of countless farming families.
Reverse Migration, Uplifting Communities

In response to the Covid-19 lockdown, Nisarga Biotech, in collaboration with the Mehta family and AWARD, distributed grocery kits to 150 families in surrounding villages. This initiative aimed to provide essential sustenance during challenging times, reflecting our commitment to the well-being of the communities we are a part of.

– Outcome: Interested individuals underwent further training in Umbariwadi, learning about Government training programs and other relevant initiatives.

– Education: Offered training on cultivation, fertilization, and water management.
– Subjects Covered: Hemoglobin levels, greywater reuse in rural areas.
– Target Audience: Farmer Women in Bhatmarali, Shelkewadi, Shahapur, and Kusawade.
– Content: Covered topics like planning and organic gardening for fresh and budget-friendly vegetables.
– Focus: Turmeric, Jackfruit, Terminalia Chebula, Terminalia Belerica.
– Objective: Encouraged livelihood improvement through farming and collection instead of urban labor.
– Distribution: 1100 books and 2 laptops.
– Impact: Improved interest in reading and learning among children.
– Challenges: Women walking long distances for water.
– Collaboration: Aveda, GGF, and community contribution.
– Result: Families now have safe drinking water at home, allowing time for establishing kitchen gardens and improving nutrition.
